The closest bus stop at the Tarland cross-roads junction. This isn't a routine stop and so when in Aboyne head down to the front of the bus and asked to be dropped at the Tarland junction. The beginning of the Tarland Way is a couple of minutes walk down the B9094.

Cycle/Walk

We are right next to the Tarland  Way - more details can be found at: http://www.cyclegrampian.co.uk/trail/tarland-way.html . Coming from Aboyne it is about a 3 mile cycle off-road until you reach a small collection of houses at Coull Mill. From here leave the cycle path and follow the driveway track on the left until you reach the main road. Turn right on the main road, following the bend round. We are the next hidden entrance on the right just after the slow down signs. There is a Gellan Cottage sign on the gate.
