welcome to
heron lodge
environmentally conscious, self-catering accommodation
We welcome guests from March to September
Heron Lodge offers you a unique, comfortable and environmentally conscious hideaway that is conveniently located for many outdoor pursuits or just taking a few days to unwind. The name pays homage to our heron, sighted regularly in the area, infusing this little corner with a graceful and calm presence. Jane will meet you with keys and direct you to the short, private path that leads to the lodge. We welcome guests March to September.
The "Pond reflections" project of site specific sculptures was completed in 2023 and are thematically linked by reflection, expressed at both a literal and symbolic level.

To ensure we deliver the best possible experience for our guests we are proud to be an ASSC Member and we comply with the Scottish Government's Short Term Let license (number: AS-00863_F).

Kenny is always busy in his greenhouse so we may also offer home grown fruit and vegetables if available.
pets
Pets are welcome but please note, whilst there is a perimeter fence of 1.5 meters, there is a gate and a field of cows next door so we expect guests to take full responsibility for the safety of their pets and respectful consideration of our neighbouring livestock.
We have a dog called Brodie who spends a lot of time in our garden (separate from Heron Lodge) so he will come and say hello when you are walking to and from your car. He is a very friendly, hypoallergenic Labradoodle but if you are nervous around dogs please let us know when completing your booking so we can have him on the lead for your arrival.
If you are bringing your own dog then let us know if you need a dog bed and feeding bowls. We kindly request an additional cleaning fee of £15 per dog per stay which will be added to your booking, thank you.
